We currently offer antenatal classes that consist of 4 sessions, each lasting 2 hours. Each session includes a Q&A section and a break, providing opportunities for socialization with other participants—many have formed lifelong friendships during this time. Our antenatal classes cover all aspects of pregnancy, birth, and labour, equipping you with the knowledge and confidence needed to make informed decisions as you prepare to meet your little one. Additionally, we are excited to soon offer more services focused on midwifery education and parenting support, all designed to meet the unique needs of every family.
ANTENATAL COURSE
Our Course
Our antenatal classes span over 4 weeks, with each session lasting 2 hours. Each class includes a break with refreshments and a chance for socialisation with other participants, fostering a supportive community. We also provide dedicated Q&A sessions, where no question is too silly! Our approach to midwifery education ensures all classes are evidence-based and informative, while remaining lighthearted and interactive. This way, we offer valuable parenting support throughout the course.

Session One Includes

* What to pack in your hospital bag for your stay after attending antenatal classes
* Signs of labour to help you prepare
* Latent phase and how knowledge from midwifery education can assist you
* When to contact the hospital if you need parenting support
* Birth plans that incorporate lessons from your antenatal classes
Session Two Includes
What is established labour? Understanding this context can greatly benefit from antenatal classes, which offer insights into pain relief, various types of birth, and available birth options. Such classes often emphasize the importance of midwifery education and provide essential parenting support for new parents.
Session Three Includes
Breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and mixed feeding are essential topics often covered in antenatal classes, providing valuable midwifery education and parenting support for new parents.
Session Four Includes
What to expect after you've had your baby includes insights gained from antenatal classes, which can significantly enhance your understanding of newborn care. Learn how to bathe your baby safely, a vital skill often covered in midwifery education. Safe sleeping practices are crucial, and guidance from your parenting support network can help ensure a secure environment for your little one. Don't forget the importance of the 4th trimester advice, as it prepares you for the transitional phase after birth. Additionally, the role of the health visitor is essential in providing ongoing support during this period.
Course cost
The cost of the antenatal classes is £220, with a £50 nonrefundable deposit required at booking to secure your spot in our midwifery education program and parenting support.
